5.1 AI Provider
Our current AI provider is:
- OpenAI, L.L.C. (API endpoint:
api.openai.com)
5.2 Data Sent for AI Features
Depending on the feature you use, this may include:
- Your prompt or question text
- Relevant note text needed to answer your request
- Voice audio and/or transcript text generated from your recording
- Image content you choose to analyze in camera-note features
- Related metadata needed to generate a response
We do not send your payment card details through these AI flows. We use this processing only to provide app features you request.
5.3 Permission Before AI Sharing
Before personal data is sent to third-party AI services, Recall requests your explicit in-app permission. If you choose "Not now", AI requests are not sent and AI features that require third-party processing do not run.
You can review and manage this in Settings > Privacy & AI.
AI outputs may be imperfect, incomplete, or inaccurate and should not be treated as medical, legal, or professional advice.
6. Authentication Providers
You may sign in using email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In where supported.
When you authenticate with a third-party identity provider:
- We receive only the information needed to identify your account and operate the sign-in flow
- Your authentication with that provider remains subject to the provider's own privacy practices
7. Voice Notes and Audio
If you use voice features:
- Audio you record may be stored in application storage or connected cloud storage
- Audio may be processed for transcription or feature generation
